Bringing Our Community Together
At the Minden Community Food Centre (MCFC), we believe that community is built through connection — and what better way to connect than by coming together for meaningful events that support local families. From fundraising drives and holiday hampers to volunteer appreciation days and community partnerships, each event we host helps make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity in our community.
Every event at MCFC is designed to do more than raise funds — they raise hope. Whether you’re joining us for a holiday campaign, contributing to a food drive, or helping spread the word about our initiatives, your participation directly impacts families right here in Minden and the surrounding area.
Last year alone, MCFC provided vital food assistance and holiday support to hundreds of local families — and the need continues to grow. By attending, donating, or volunteering at our events, you help ensure that no one in our community goes without nutritious food or a helping hand.
We invite you to explore our upcoming events and discover how you can make a difference. Every dollar raised and every hour volunteered helps strengthen the community we all call home.

Spread Holiday Cheer!
This holiday season, CanoeFM is partnering with the Haliburton County Food Banks — including the Minden Community Food Centre — to collect toys and gift cards for local children and teens in Minden, Haliburton, Wilberforce, and Cardiff.
Your generosity helps bring joy and hope to families who need a little extra support this time of year. Every donation makes a difference and helps ensure that every child has something special to open on Christmas morning.
